Frequently Asked Questions
When is the deadline to apply?
Application cycle is now open and closes May 26, 2019 at 12am.
Do I have to be a 100% Talent Compact Member to apply?
While we welcome all employers to apply, applicants must be a 100% Talent Compact Signer as of June 1st, 2019.
How long is the application?
The application should take between 15 - 30 minutes to complete. If you have prepared answers for each question, the application should take 15 - 20 minutes. We recommend printing the questions and prepping in a separate document first before completing the survey answers online.
How do I know if my initiative is worth applying?
We believe that in order to move the needle in closing the gender wage gap in Boston, sharing effective practices with one another is critical. While we will be selecting winners for each category (listed above), we will celebrate every applicant that participated in this process. The initiatives should have high ROI and are not necessarily going to be large or high spend. If you tried something that worked surprisingly well, there may have been a process innovation that we’d love to hear about. We want to see your creativity!
Can my employer apply more than once?
Yes! Employers will only be awarded one winning category, however, this is about building community, so we welcome up to three submissions per employer.
I still have more questions - who should I ask?
On May 8th BWWC Executive Director, Shereen Shermak, and Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement’s Tania Del Rio held a live webinar - ‘Ask Us Anything’ - to review the application process, criteria, FAQ, and more.
A recording of the webinar will be posted here the day after.
Please reach us at email@example.com for any questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
